Financial Support for Students

Specialist Group in Economic Geology bursaries 

The Geological Society of Australia’s Specialist Group in Economic Geology (SGEG) is generously offering 10 bursaries of $500 to support undergraduate and postgraduate student attendance at the conference. Applicants need to be GSA members (or about to become one) and be third-year, honours, masters or PhD students.

GSA Endowment Fund  

Financial assistance in the form of awards can be granted to Australian students by the GSA Endowment Fund Committee and the awards are not restricted to GSA members.

 Geo Conferences – Joe Lord travel grants  

JH Lord Travel Grants are available to support your attendance at local, national and international conferences. Applicants presenting the results of their work will be given priority. Grants for an interstate conference or field excursion will typically cover the registration fee, and, if applicable, subsidise an economy airfare and budget accommodation costs.
